The United States has started delivering F-35 fighter jets to Poland as part of Warsaw’s effort to modernize its armed forces and bolster regional security. Poland ordered 32 F-35s in a $4.6-billion deal during Donald Trump’s first presidency, with full deliveries expected by 2029. The move comes amid heightened tensions linked to the war in Ukraine and NATO concerns over Russian military activity. Trump also announced plans to send 5,000 US troops to Poland, underscoring the country’s growing role as a key NATO defense hub in Eastern Europe.
