India is approaching a major aerospace milestone as the first domestically assembled Airbus C-295 transport aircraft nears rollout from the Tata-Airbus facility in Gujarat. The project is part of a broader effort to modernize the Indian Air Force while strengthening domestic defense manufacturing under the “Make in India” initiative. Beyond aircraft assembly, the program is helping build a wider aerospace industrial ecosystem by involving local suppliers and private-sector manufacturing for advanced military aviation platforms.
