Leonardo UK has secured a $33 million contract from the U.S. Navy to supply BriteCloud 218 Active Expendable Decoys for integration into F-35 Lightning II jets. This marks the first time BriteCloud will be used with the F-35 platform. The contract, covering fiscal years 2025 through 2027, aims to enhance the aircraft’s defense against radar-guided threats by improving survivability during missions.
