Northrop Grumman is advancing its Improved Threat Detection System for the US Army to enhance aircraft survivability in modern combat environments. Using the ATHENA multispectral sensor, the system provides 360-degree threat awareness and automatically detects missiles, drones, and other aerial dangers. Integrated with defensive countermeasure systems, ITDS will strengthen pilot protection and battlefield awareness for future Army helicopter platforms like the Apache and MV-75 Cheyenne II.
