The Danish Minister of Defence revealed in an interview with TV2 that the country intends to purchase at least ten more F-35A stealth fighter jets from the United States before the end of October. This move aligns with strategic planning around production availability at Lockheed Martin’s manufacturing facilities, as discussed during recent official meetings held in Washington, D.C.

TV2’s U.S. correspondent explained that Lockheed Martin’s current production demand is relatively low, offering a rare window for Denmark to secure faster delivery of aircraft. By acting swiftly, Denmark aims to avoid being pushed to the back of the line, as demand for F-35s could rise in the near future. The defense ministry is thus capitalizing on this favorable timing to enhance its air force fleet without facing extended wait times.
