The United Kingdom and France are working together to build a next-generation missile to replace the powerful Meteor missile. Over the next year, both countries will study new technologies and design ideas to stay ahead of future threats. The current Meteor, built by MBDA with support from Airbus, BAE Systems, and Leonardo, is already very advanced, but newer enemy missiles are pushing the need for an upgrade. They are also planning a new deep-strike weapon to replace older cruise missiles, showing strong defense cooperation between the two nations.
