Sweden has opted for Brazil’s C-390 Millennium aircraft to replace legacy airlifters, choosing a flexible, NATO-compatible platform capable of cargo, medevac, and paratroop transport roles. The aircraft can carry 23 tons, land on semi-prepared airfields, and conduct low-level tactical IR cargo drops.
This strategic procurement strengthens Stockholm’s long-range mobility, enabling rapid deployment across both Swedish territory and international theaters via modular internal configurations and extended endurance.
Through this partnership with Embraer, Sweden boosts not only platform capability but also bilateral aerospace ties, cementing the C-390 as a major European military transport asset.
