Ireland has agreed to buy four Airbus H145 helicopters to replace the EC135 helicopters used by the Irish Air Corps. According to The Irish Times, the 91.7-million-euro ($95.8-million) agreement is expected to deliver the new platforms by 2027, at which point the force’s two surviving EC135s will also be retired.The H145 fleet will be used by the Irish national police and security air support agency to teach new pilots before they handle larger tactical systems or aircraft.
