On December 3, 2024, Brazilian aerospace manufacturer Embraer signed an agreement with the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) at the Mostra BID, the National Defense and Security Fair in Brasilia, to advance collaborative studies aimed at enhancing the C-390 Millennium transport aircraft’s capabilities. The studies will focus on expanding the C-390’s ability to conduct intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions, with an emphasis on maritime patrol. This new variant, known as the C-390 IVR, is expected to feature capabilities for anti-ship missile deployment, as shown in a CGI released by Embraer.
