StandardAero will introduce its Maintenance Insight predictive maintenance tool for the F100-220 engines installed in more than 175 US Air Force F-15 combat aircraft under a newly awarded contract. The agreement brings the F100-220 into a group of five military propulsion systems covered by the Arizona-based company’s analytics software. Operating on the military’s cloud infrastructure, the system uses AI, machine learning and digital twin technology to assess possible internal equipment failures. Real-time findings support maintenance planning, work-scope decisions and preventive action, helping sustain aircraft availability. Earlier StandardAero diagnostic projects covered the T56 on C-130 Hercules transport aircraft, the J85 on T-38 Talon supersonic trainers, the TF33 on B-52 Stratofortress strategic bombers and the TF39 on C-5 Galaxy airlifters. Recent engine contracts: StandardAero was also selected for a $343 million programme covering comprehensive T56 engine services for US Air Force operations and foreign military sales partners. In July, it joined GE Aerospace in work to assemble and maintain CT7 engines for the UK Armed Forces’ planned New Medium Helicopters. Beyond aviation, the company provides long-term repair and overhaul services for engines used by the US Navy’s amphibious hovercraft fleet.
