Rafael Advanced Defense Systems is integrating the SPICE 1000 precision munition with Israel’s F-35 fighter aircraft, creating an additional long-range strike option. The weapon uses an electro-optical seeker and can engage fixed, high-value targets beyond 120km. Rather than relying entirely on GPS, its guidance system employs scene-matching technology to compare the observed target environment with stored information and steer the munition toward the designated aim point.
