Canada has approved $1.15 billion in contract amendments with Lockheed Martin to maintain and modernize its CC-130J Hercules transport aircraft fleet. The agreements include long-term maintenance support until 2029 and the implementation of RCAF 105 upgrades covering avionics, communications, navigation, and flight management systems. These upgrades are intended to improve operational safety and ensure compatibility with modern military and civilian airspace standards. Maintenance and overhaul activities will be conducted at facilities in Canada and the United States, supporting more than 1,100 jobs. The CC-130J Hercules continues to serve as one of Canada’s most important military transport aircraft for domestic and international operations.
