Texas-based defense contractor KBR has received a task order worth up to $208 million to support the US Army’s Tactical Aviation and Ground Munitions Project Office. The five-year agreement extends KBR’s role as prime contractor and is focused on improving acquisition processes and accelerating the delivery of next-generation precision-strike capabilities. KBR will provide support throughout the weapons lifecycle, covering advanced engineering, rapid prototyping, modernization, foreign military sales, and global logistics. The work will contribute to Army priorities involving multi-domain operations, aviation lethality, and counter-unmanned aerial systems. TAGM, part of Portfolio Acquisition Executive FIRES, supports major Army weapons programs including Hellfire, Joint Air-to-Ground Missiles, Javelin, TOW, Hydra rockets, and Long-Range Precision Munitions. KBR’s Mission Technology Solutions division will perform the work, with the organization expected to spin off as Trinzic. The contract is intended to help the Army overcome acquisition delays and move precision-fire technologies from development and testing toward operational deployment more rapidly.
