The US Army has significantly increased its investment in the Precision Strike Missile program by awarding Lockheed Martin an $8.4-billion contract expansion. The deal will fund missile production growth, capability enhancements, and long-term support efforts while extending program activities for several years. As a cornerstone of the Army’s deep-strike modernization strategy, the PrSM offers extended-range precision engagement and is expected to be produced in large numbers to meet future operational requirements.
