Leidos has received a $2.7-billion contract from the United States Army to transition key hypersonic weapons programs from development into full-scale production. The agreement consolidates the Thermal Protection Shield and Common Hypersonic Glide Body programs into a unified manufacturing framework aimed at accelerating production timelines, stabilizing supply chains, and improving readiness for deployable hypersonic strike systems.
