The possible sale of AIM-120C-8 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM) to Saudi Arabia for an estimated $3.5 billion has been cleared by the US State Department. Technical assistance, 50 AIM-120C-8 AMRAAM guidance sections, and 1,000 AIM-120C-8 AMRAAMs are included in the deal. There hasn’t been any suggested offset deal, and RTX is the major contractor. For the deal to proceed, the US Congress must approve it.
