In accordance with a five-year contract granted by the Norwegian Armed Forces last year, Kongsberg launched the ARVAKER I microsatellite to supply marine surveillance data.Shortly after being launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on SpaceX’s Transporter-13 mission, the satellite established two-way communication with Kongsberg NanoAvionics’ mission control.ARVAKER By identifying illicit fishing, smuggling, environmental crimes, and other illicit activities, I will contribute to marine security.
