India is working hard to keep its heavy transport aircraft flying. The Ilyushin Il-76 fleet is getting older, and spare parts are harder to find due to global issues like the Russia–Ukraine War. To solve this, the Indian Air Force is upgrading engines, adding modern digital systems, and using Indian companies for repairs, aiming to keep these aircraft active for many more years.
