Turkey’s ASELSAN has rolled out its latest innovation, the KORKUT 100/25 SB, a mobile counter-drone system engineered to counter various unmanned aerial threats. The system is capable of engaging small reconnaissance drones as well as more advanced loitering munitions, underscoring its role in modern air defense.
The new variant originates from the company’s established KORKUT self-propelled anti-aircraft gun line. By leveraging that platform, ASELSAN has created a highly mobile solution that integrates layered defensive capabilities with precision targeting, allowing forces to operate effectively against a diverse set of UAV challenges.
Positioned as a middle-ground capability, the KORKUT 100/25 SB is designed to provide an affordable and scalable response. It bridges the gap between light weapon fire and high-cost missile interceptors, offering a practical way to neutralize low-end threats without exhausting more valuable resources.
