The Iveco-Oto Melara Consortium (CIO) has been given a contract by the Italian Ministry of Defense to supply the army with 76 Medium Armored Combat Vehicles (VBM). For the military’s Second Medium Brigade, the contract calls for 60 combat and 16 anti-tank carrier versions of CIO’s VBM Plus 8×8 vehicle.Additionally, it has integrated logistical support and an unspecified number of 10×10 rescue and recovery vehicles to support the operability of the incoming VBM fleet.
