The FICV project represents one of India’s largest armoured vehicle modernization efforts. The new platform is being designed to meet evolving battlefield requirements, including resistance to mines, drones, and precision-guided threats. Modular configurations, enhanced situational awareness systems, and advanced weapon integration will allow the vehicle to serve multiple operational roles. The initiative also supports domestic defence manufacturing and the development of next-generation armoured technologies.
