Italian aerospace and defense company Leonardo has announced its plan to acquire Iveco Defence Vehicles, a manufacturer of military and civilian armored vehicles, for €1.7 billion ($1.95 billion).
The acquisition is expected to finalize in the first quarter of 2026, pending regulatory approval. Leonardo stated that the move is part of its strategy to strengthen its position in the land defense sector.
On the same day, the company reported a strong financial performance, with first-half revenues rising by 11.7 percent to €8.9 billion ($10.1 billion). Leonardo also reaffirmed its full-year revenue forecast of approximately €18.6 billion ($21.2 billion).
