Morocco is expanding its military logistics fleet with another Oshkosh Defense procurement consisting of 50 HET A1 tractors and 50 matching MN573 heavy-duty trailers. The second order was placed through local partner Optimum Vehicle Logistics and represents a continuation of the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces’ effort to improve cross-theater heavy-equipment mobility and support armored formations.The trailers are being manufactured in partnership with Broshuis BV of the Netherlands. Morocco previously contracted Oshkosh in 2024 for an undisclosed quantity of HET A1 vehicles, and the first batch has since been delivered and entered operational service.Designed as a heavy equipment transporter, the HET A1 can move large tactical vehicles such as main battle tanks. Its crew compartment seats as many as six people and is equipped with air conditioning and modular protection technology.The transporter uses a Caterpillar C18 diesel engine producing 700 horsepower and an Allison 4800SP transmission. Two integrated winches provide recovery capability, with each unit rated to pull as much as 55,000 pounds (24,948 kilograms).
