Patria and KNDS Deutschland Maintenance have signed an agreement to assemble and integrate Patria 6×6 armored personnel carriers in Germany under the Common Armoured Vehicle System program. The agreement follows two contracts awarded to Patria by the German Armed Forces in December 2025. Serial deliveries are expected to increase from early 2027, with an increasing share of production transferred to German facilities. KNDS will undertake vehicle assembly and final integration, while Patria will provide the technical expertise required to establish local manufacturing capabilities. The arrangement supports Germany’s efforts to develop a domestic production network involving multiple suppliers. The CAVS program, launched by Finland and Latvia in 2020, provides participating countries with a common Patria 6×6 platform that can be adapted to national requirements. Vehicles have already been delivered to Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Denmark, and Germany, while Norway and the UK also participate. The agreement highlights growing European cooperation in armored vehicle production and strengthens Germany’s industrial role within the multinational CAVS framework.
