Elbit Systems has secured a $350 million contract from an international customer to modernize its fleet of main battle tanks under a four-year program. The upgrade package includes advanced fire-control systems, electric turret and gun drive mechanisms, AI-assisted electro-optical sights, secure communication networks, and enhanced battlefield management tools. The modernization effort is designed to extend the operational lifespan of the tanks while significantly improving target acquisition, crew survivability, situational awareness, and combat effectiveness in both day and night battlefield environments.
