Embraer has revealed a new paint design for its KC-390 Millennium tactical transport aircraft, reinforcing its global marketing drive. The refreshed appearance will become the default scheme for demonstration models showcased at trade shows, defense exhibitions, and international events. Embraer noted that future buyers could also adapt the livery to suit specific requirements, offering flexibility to operators.
The demonstrator featuring the new look is scheduled to participate in aerospace and defense events worldwide before the end of 2025. Company officials said the update is part of Embraer’s wider push to boost production and international sales while responding to increased interest from defense partners.
Known for its size and capability, the KC-390 measures 35 meters and is designed to carry heavy loads of up to 26,000 kilograms or transport 80 troops. Its fuel capacity of 35,000 kilograms allows for long-range operations, while its IAE V2500-E5 engines propel the aircraft at more than 500 knots. With a maximum flight range of 4,570 nautical miles and an operational ceiling of 11,000 meters, it provides strong performance for a variety of missions.
Operational versatility is at the core of the KC-390 program. The aircraft is capable of supporting logistical transport, medical evacuation missions, firefighting operations, and disaster-relief efforts. It can also be fitted with advanced protection measures, including electronic warfare suites and countermeasures against airborne threats. These features enhance its ability to operate effectively in both peacetime missions and contested airspace, reinforcing its role as a key player in global military aviation.
