Vectrus Systems has been awarded a $118 million contract to provide operational and logistical support for Iraq’s F-16 fighter jet fleet. The agreement, part of the US Foreign Military Sales initiative, includes services such as base operations and life support at Martyr BG Ali Flaih Air Base.

The Iraqi government made an initial payment of $57.8 million upon signing. Despite owning 34 F-16C/D aircraft, Iraq has faced declining mission capability since 2020 due to decreased American contractor presence. The project with Vectrus Systems is set to continue through November 2026 to help restore and maintain operational readiness.
