A $277 million contract to manufacture next-generation T-54A trainer aircraft for the US military has been given to Textron Aviation. Under procurement lots 2 and 3, a total of 26 aircraft will be supplied to the US Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy.As part of the arrangement, the company will also supply engine spare parts and related support equipment.The contract’s projected completion date is September 2026, and work will be done in Kansas and Texas.
