French defense vehicle manufacturer Arquus has entered into a strategic partnership with Germany’s Daimler Truck to supply new military trucks to the French Army. Announced Thursday, the collaboration aims to jointly develop, produce, and support a new line of logistics trucks tailored to modern military needs. The companies highlight the partnership’s European foundation—Arquus operates solely in France, while Daimler runs a facility close to the French border.
Arquus, now under the John Cockerill Group, supplies 90% of the French Army’s wheeled vehicles and specializes in protected mobility. Daimler Truck brings industrial scale and experience as a global leader in commercial vehicle production. The move comes amid rising defense budgets and a European push for technological sovereignty in defense manufacturing.
