The Multi-Domain Artillery Cannon (MDAC) system prototype that can fire hypersonic projectiles has been chosen by the US Army to be developed by BAE Systems. The Virginia-based corporation was the lone source for the deal, which was initially revealed late last year and did not go through a competitive bidding procedure.Eight cannons, four precision radars, and two multi-domain battle management systems will make up the MDAC system.
