Adani Defence has launched a major missile manufacturing complex in Madhya Pradesh, marking one of the biggest private defence projects in India. The facility will handle the full missile production process, from raw materials to final assembly of complete missile systems. It will also produce key components like propellants and explosives. The project is worth around ₹50,000 crore and is expected to create thousands of jobs while involving over 50 small and medium companies in its supply chain. The plant is designed to improve India’s self-reliance in missile production and reduce dependence on imports. It will work alongside Adani’s existing defence facilities, creating a larger industrial cluster in the region. This development supports India’s goal of boosting domestic defence manufacturing and increasing exports. It also shows the growing role of private companies in India’s defence sector, alongside government organisations.
