Aselsan is deepening its defense-industrial partnership in Poland through a fresh agreement with AMZ-Kutno for additional ARSUS reconnaissance and surveillance equipment. While the companies did not reveal the financial value of the contract, industry sources have reported that the procurement could involve 24 system sets.The ARSUS system combines multiple sensors and supporting technologies to give armored vehicle crews improved situational awareness. It is intended to help operators locate, recognize and follow objects at greater distances. Poland plans to integrate the equipment into the Kleszcz reconnaissance vehicle programme, based on AMZ-Kutno’s 4×4 armored platform.This is not the first collaboration between the two companies. In 2024, they signed a 16.6-million-euro agreement for radar and electro-optical equipment connected with the Kleszcz programme. The latest order extends that relationship and further establishes Aselsan as a supplier of reconnaissance technology for Polish armored systems.Aselsan is also pursuing a broader strategy of expanding its operations in Poland through a local presence and partnerships with domestic manufacturers. The growing company-to-company cooperation reflects wider defense engagement between Ankara and Warsaw.Turkey and Poland have steadily developed closer military and industrial ties. During a July visit to Warsaw, Turkish defense industry chief Haluk Görgün discussed existing cooperation and potential new projects with Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. These talks followed a December 2025 security agreement covering intelligence and information sharing, military exercises and defense-industrial cooperation. The framework additionally promotes greater NATO coordination, preparations for the 2026 NATO Summit in Ankara and cooperation on European defense initiatives.
