The US Army has selected AeroVironment’s Switchblade 400 loitering munition for its LASSO program, strengthening battlefield precision-strike capabilities for mobile combat units. Designed as a lightweight tank destroyer, the drone combines autonomous targeting, portability, and long-range engagement in a compact system. Capable of striking armored targets up to 65 kilometers away, the Switchblade 400 supports modern warfare requirements with improved flexibility, rapid deployment, and effectiveness in contested environments.
