EDGE Group and CMN Naval have officially launched the first BR71 MK II Combattante-class corvette for the Angolan Navy in France. The ship, called NRA Ekuikui II, forms part of a contract for three vessels valued at approximately €1 billion. Designed to improve Angola’s maritime security operations, the corvette features modern surveillance and operational capabilities. Measuring 71 meters in length, the vessel will support maritime patrol and intelligence missions. It will also operate HT-100 unmanned helicopters capable of six hours of flight while carrying mission payloads for data-gathering tasks.
