In a strategic development reflecting its dedication to strengthening national defense, Moog Inc. has finalized a new contract with Leonardo DRS to supply year-two spare parts for the U.S. Army’s SGT Stout systems. This comprehensive spares order ensures sustained operational support for all currently fielded SGT Stout units, which are integral to the Army’s mobile air defense capabilities. The contract stipulates that Moog will continue to deliver parts through June 2026.
Moog, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the Reconfigurable Integrated-weapons Platform (RIwP®)—which powers the SGT Stout turret systems—reaffirmed its commitment to providing reliable, cutting-edge defense technology. The company stated its readiness to supply critical components that will help maintain the SGT Stout platforms at peak operational readiness in demanding field environments.
The SGT Stout Program, formally known as the Maneuver-Short Range Air Defense (M-SHORAD) initiative, equips the Army with mobile systems designed to protect frontline units from an array of aerial threats, including drones, helicopters, and fixed-wing aircraft. Moog’s continued involvement signals its key role in supporting one of the Army’s most vital air defense efforts.
