The U.S. State Department has approved a potential $180 million deal to supply Poland with 1,400 GBU-39/B Small Diameter Bombs (SDB-I) and four inert GBU-39 (T-1)/B practice bombs, along with fuzes, training rounds, and related logistical support. Manufactured by Boeing, the precision-guided munitions are intended for use on Poland’s upgraded F-16V and future F-35A fighter jets, significantly enhancing the country’s air-to-ground strike capabilities and strengthening NATO’s eastern defenses.
