Hungary has conducted its first military competition specifically focused on the skills of military drone pilots. Held over two days at the Csobánka training area, the event tested participants’ physical endurance alongside their proficiency in unmanned aircraft operations and counter-drone shooting. The first day featured a timed range in which soldiers had to operate drones while performing reconnaissance-related tasks. Every error committed by a participant resulted in an additional 30-second penalty, making accuracy and efficient drone handling important elements of the competition.
