EDGE, the UAE’s leading defense conglomerate, put its ANAVIA HT-100 unmanned helicopter through its paces in front of Brazilian armed forces representatives at the Army Activities Centre in Restinga da Marambaia. The demonstration comes as part of a broader bid by EDGE to introduce innovative unmanned technologies to Latin America, and Brazil in particular. The HT-100 highlighted the advantages of fast fielding and flexible deployment in challenging environments.

With a 15-minute preparedness interval, the HT-100 exhibited its superior quick-launch capacity, transitioning seamlessly from ground activation to takeoff. Its demonstration routine included static hover holds, coordinated multi-axis movements, and intricate maneuvering at low altitude, all controlled autonomously. These functions make it ideal for missions where fast, agile response and navigational precision are required.

Additionally, the helicopter displayed the latest in situational awareness and BVLOS technology, providing live mapping and mission data that can greatly enhance decision-making for surveillance and operational planning. EDGE’s engagement with Brazil underscores its strategy to become a global leader in unmanned systems and demonstrates the HT-100’s potential applications for defense and security missions throughout the region.
