Indian company Flying Wedge Defence and Aerospace (FWDA) has unveiled its FWD-LM01 loitering munition at a Paris defense event. Designed for extended-range missions, the new unmanned system has a flight range of 100 kilometers and incorporates a delta-wing design for improved aerodynamics and strike capabilities.

Developed for rapid deployment, the drone is compact enough to be man-portable and can be assembled in under five minutes without any specialized equipment. The aircraft weighs 6 kilograms, spans 2 meters, and offers 1.5 hours of operational endurance.

It can ascend to 17,000 feet and is equipped to carry 2 kilograms of explosives. The FWD-LM01 also integrates electro-optical infrared sensors and AI-enabled systems to support autonomous navigation and targeting in real-time operations.
