AEVEX Aerospace has introduced Specter as a modular autonomous attack drone capable of carrying out several types of missions from a common platform. The one-way system is powered by a turbojet and uses a software-defined architecture that can be adapted to different payloads and operational effects. Its mission set is expected to cover kinetic and non-kinetic applications as well as electronic warfare and ISR tasks. The company is developing Specter for both surface launch and airborne launch, allowing the same basic platform to support different employment concepts and operational scenarios.
