Poland is reinforcing its armored force readiness by expanding domestic industrial capabilities for the maintenance, overhaul, and future production of heavy battlefield recovery vehicles. The initiative focuses on strengthening logistical support for the M88A2 recovery platform, which plays a vital role in recovering damaged armored vehicles under combat conditions. Through technology sharing and industrial cooperation, Poland seeks to establish long-term maintenance capacity, reduce dependency on overseas support, and improve operational availability across its expanding armored vehicle fleet. The program also contributes to NATO’s wider objective of strengthening European defense manufacturing capabilities.
