Belgium is reinforcing its special operations and tactical mobility capabilities with the acquisition of five Cessna SkyCourier aircraft from Textron Aviation. This procurement represents the aircraft’s entry into military service and reflects a broader trend toward adopting flexible, multi-role utility platforms. The integration process will be handled by Sabena Engineering, ensuring that each aircraft meets mission-specific requirements before deployment. The SkyCourier’s design emphasizes operational efficiency, with the ability to operate from short and rugged airstrips while maintaining low operating costs.
