Designed for medium- and large-caliber munitions of 50mm and above, the ESAD-50 offers a compact and lightweight architecture, measuring just 50mm by 100mm. The small footprint allows easy integration into a wide range of guided and unguided munitions without significant design changes.
The device incorporates an inertial measurement unit to analyze the munition’s motion and flight characteristics, including acceleration and rotational behavior. Arming is authorized only after the system confirms a valid and safe launch profile, significantly enhancing operational safety and reducing the likelihood of accidental activation.
