On Thursday, Washington confirmed its approval of an $825 million sale of advanced weaponry to Ukraine, consisting of 3,350 Extended Range Attack Munition (ERAM) missiles and associated systems.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) noted that Ukraine will acquire the package through funds provided by Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway, with additional support from a U.S. loan guarantee. This multinational funding reflects continued Western commitment to strengthening Ukraine’s defense.

DSCA explained that the agreement will significantly reinforce Ukraine’s operational readiness, enabling it to address present challenges and future threats more effectively. The sale is also designed to advance U.S. strategic objectives by contributing to the security of a key partner that supports political stability and economic resilience in Europe.

While the State Department has already granted approval, the U.S. Congress must still review and endorse the transaction before it can be finalized.
