The UK and Germany have announced plans to co-develop a long-range “deep-precision strike” weapon capable of reaching over 2,000 kilometers, though specific details about the system—such as whether it will be a cruise or ballistic missile—remain undisclosed. Scheduled for deployment in the 2030s, the new weapon will significantly surpass the range of the UK’s Storm Shadow and Germany’s Taurus missiles. According to the UK Ministry of Defence, the advanced system will enhance national security, strengthen NATO’s deterrence posture, and support the defense industries of both the UK and Europe.
