For more than 60 million euros ($63.3 million), Latvia has hired the Finnish company Patria to construct and supply an extra 56 Patria armored personnel carriers (APCs). Delivery of the vehicles, which will be used as command and control units for the Latvian military, will start this year and continue until 2029.As part of the Common Armoured Vehicle System program, a collaborative effort between Finland, Germany, Latvia, and Sweden, 200 6×6 APCs are now being supplied to Latvia under an earlier contract.Under the terms of the 2021 deal, which is worth 200 million euros ($210 million), they will be manufactured in Latvia.
