L3Harris Technologies is expanding its contribution to the US Army’s communications modernization through additional deliveries of Falcon AN/PRC-158C software-defined gateway radios supporting the Next Generation Command and Control architecture. The advanced manpack systems provide secure multi-domain communications by integrating voice, data, and network connectivity across diverse operational environments. Featuring dual-channel operation, software-defined architecture, and wide frequency coverage, the radios enable seamless interoperability between command centers, sensors, combat platforms, and frontline units while supporting beyond-line-of-sight communications. Their flexible design allows rapid adaptation to evolving mission requirements without requiring major hardware modifications. The latest procurement strengthens the Army’s digital command infrastructure by improving information sharing, accelerating operational decision-making, and enhancing network resilience during joint operations.
