Spain’s Indra Group is developing a national GaN technology ecosystem through the GIGaNTE research program to enhance defense electronics and communication systems. The initiative combines the expertise of industry partners and academic institutions to design advanced electronic circuits and components capable of supporting radar, electronic warfare, and military communication technologies. By building a domestic supply chain for GaN-based electronics, the program aims to strengthen Spain’s technological independence while improving the performance and reliability of future defense systems.
