Data Patterns has revealed its Hawk-1900 Active Electronically Scanned Array radar, representing a major advancement in indigenous airborne radar development. The GaN-powered radar, equipped with nearly 876 Transmit/Receive Modules, has been designed for integration with fighter aircraft platforms including the MiG-29 series and Tejas Mk1/Mk1A variants. The system aims to provide a modern replacement for ageing radar solutions by delivering improved target acquisition, enhanced tracking capability, and stronger resistance against electronic warfare challenges. The radar architecture supports multi-function operations, enabling air combat, ground attack, and surveillance missions through advanced signal processing and digital beam steering technologies. Its compact configuration makes it suitable for lighter fighter platforms while maintaining high operational performance. The Hawk-1900 forms part of Data Patterns’ broader AESA radar development strategy, demonstrating the company’s ability to create scalable indigenous solutions for different categories of combat aircraft.
