The Finnish company Patria has delivered new acoustic minesweeping systems to the Royal Norwegian Navy. With the delivery of the first batch early last year, Norway’s order for SONAC ACS systems in 2021 at an undisclosed sum is already complete. Minefield clearing will be handled by Finnish systems as part of Oslo’s mine countermeasures capabilities once the navy retires its ELMA-AGATE sweep.
